Terry as Nephram in The Great I Am
I first met Terry when I was doing research for my upcoming film of The Gospel According to John. Highly focused on authenticity, my search led me to http://www.thetabernacleman.com Terry is a tremendous blessing; I am honored to write a little something for his website. I include a never-before-seen photo for the blog.
Nephram the Pharisee
A bit about Terry’s part in portraying Nephram, the central religious leader in the film. It took only a couple emails and one long, blessed phone conversation for me to realize the Lord had led me not only to a scholar who could guide and answer all my questions - but to a dear friend who is “closer than a brother.”
The Lord very quickly knit us together and based on His prompting I asked Terry to portray the film’s central Religious Leader, even though he had never done film acting before. Yes, Terry was a bit nervous that first day he appeared on set. But those nerves quickly gave way to a Word/Spirit-inspired performance in every way. As a director I marveled to watch Terry bring this Religious Leader “to life,” each scene re-confirming that I had indeed heard the Lord correctly. Terry also served on the film as Technical Advisor, his scholarly leadership proving invaluable in our quest for Jewish and historical authenticity.
It was a sad day when, after months of collaborating and 5 weeks of filming, we finished and had to go our separate ways. But joyous to know the Lord forged a true brotherhood that I know will continue to grow in His great grace and goodness. We love you, Terry! Glory to the living God!
About the Film
The Gospel According to John is a film that brings John's Gospel "to life" in cinematic splendor, fully dramatized, verse by verse.

The year is 65 A.D. Decades have passed since Jesus walked the land of Israel. He'd fulfilled every word of The Law and Prophets and performed wonders that could only be of God.
Yet the distance of time and generation has dampened the fire that once burned in the hearts of God's children. Some even question if Jesus truly was Messiah. And so, the Apostle John, now aged, returns to the land of Galilee, to share his eye-witness account. Unfurling the scroll of Moses, he points to its opening words, and begins,
"In the beginning was the Word..."
And through vivid flashbacks that bring Jesus "to life" in the fullness of His passion and glory, the Gospel unfolds before us in all its power and life-changing wonder, The Gospel According to John.
